Making of the No-Mad Fabric Shop…

The place where it all began…

Few amongst our tribe know that our oasis in Mangaldas Market was also the first workshop. As we grew and moved elsewhere this room provided the perfect opportunity to showcase our fabrics and to create an experience inspired by Mumbai’s oldest textile market right next door !

As the old space, steeped in history with the original beams exposed (they still are), transformed into an off-white canvas for our textiles, a sense of calm prevailed over the space and we knew that the No-Mad Fabric Shop would surely be the soothing sanctuary that it is !

Sunlight spills into the entire space through a large central window and it is literally the highlight of the shop. Simple metal shelves and trunks for storage, our Nandi up on the wall and green palms as the main accessory, the shop was ready to be stocked !
