Making of our NOOR Cushions…

No-Mad is inspired by the beauty and simplicity of Kutch, this region in Gujarat famous for its  handmade textiles, delicate mirror embroidery and the world famous tie and dye fabric, locally known as Bandhani or Bandhej. When we started developing the first No-Mad collection in 2012, we started exploring this region. We were awestruck by the beauty and simple lifestyle of the people…gorgeous mud houses with mirrors on the walls , vintage brass utensils , the sheer beauty in their everyday living.

We tried working with several artisans in Kutch, but unfortunately a lot of those programs did not work out. However after several trials and tribulations we managed to get our own version of the mirror embroidery resulting in our NOOR collection…Take a look..
