Turmeric, the “golden child” of Ayurveda, has been every Indian mother and grandmother’s best kept secret for thousands of years.
This miracle spice, that cures everything from a cold and cough to arthritis due to its anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties, sits humbly in our spice boxes, adding its yellow hue to home-cooked food. It is also really good for the skin, so much so that Hindu weddings have an entire ceremony where the bride and groom are given a turmeric facial to induce a natural glow.
As the days get colder, a glass of turmeric golden milk (and our Indigo cushions) should create the perfect nesting situation for long weekends spent in bed !
