Flower Men – Kenn Hermann

The great Indian Bazaar with all its colors and chaos has mesmerized many. One among them was Danish Photographer Kenn Hermann who immortialzied the flower vendors from Malik Ghat in Kolkatta in his series, Flower Men.

His images amaze us..Simple but a poignant representation of simple everyday Indian element..Flowers..They are ubiquitous in India..used in temples, homes , for ceremonies for weddings or funerals…His portraits of the male vendors posing in front of the Hooghly river are a beautiful study in contrast, capturing their vulnerability and livelihood in one frame. A beautiful harmonious composition..
